Waiwetu Plunket Dance

The annual dance of the Waiwetu sub,branch of the Plunket Society was held last night at the Birch Streel hall. Lower Hutt. The petunia and green decorative scheme was in pleasing contrast to the artistic electric light shades, which were in soft gold and green tones. Mr. F. Hunn was the master of ceremonies. Residential Nursery. Mrs. W. L. Hooson presided at the monthly meeting of the Lower Hutt branch of the Residential Nursery. It was arranged to hold a novelty auction afternoon at the Plunket rooms on August 24, members and friends to bring parcels for auctioning.

Scout Card Party. Mrs. Guy and Mrs. Adam were the prize-winners at a card party held at the Scout Hall,. Strand Park, Ixiwcr Hutt, on Tuesday. The players were Mr. and Mrs. C. Whitcher, Mesdames Warburton, Larson, Mason. Sandilands, Prior. Astoll, Messrs. J. Inglis. Heeney, Pussell, Neilson.
