BRIDGE EVENING

Gathering At National Club

The monthly bridge evening at the National Club in. Wellington is always eagerly h/iked forward to by /the bridge-playing members, and last night there was the usual good attendance. Bright fires were burning in the upstairs rooms and in the hall, and huge bowls of wattle and other spring flowers struck a gay note. Both auction and contract were played, and two prizes were given for each. A delicious supper, served on tea-wagons, provided a welcome break toward the end of the evening. Among those present were: Mesdames E. J. Widdop, E. Aston, D. Perritt, W. Gilbert, A. A. MacLaughlin, A. D. Houston, F. L. Hunt, Saudharo, Misses V. Ross, H. Beresford, M. Willcocks, M. Neely, B.
