Minister Gives Figures By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, August 10. Details of the unemployment position were announced to-day by the Hon. 11. T. Armstrong. Minister of Labour. On July 2 there were 8000 men on sustenance, but totally unlit for employment, 1551 registered but not on relief, 3240 on sustenance awaiting placement, and 2032 on scheme 5 relief. There were 35,796 men on full time. On July 29 there were 2306 tit men available for employment and 2.195 vacancies.
