Prison Camp Brutality London, August 8. More than 80 Jews died at the Buchwald concentration camp, near Weimar, during July, according to information which lias reached the “News Chronicle." Seven I y prisoners were forced to break stones for 14 hours a day and when they fainted they were left where they lay. Breaches of discipline were punished with Hogging, usually resulting in the death of the victims immediately or ultimately. Tlie Berlin correspondent of the “News Chronicle” says that the secret police deny the accuracy of the figures given, but numerous cases are known in Berlin of Jews being-summoned by the police to fetch the ashes of relatives. for which they must pay 3/-, the cost of cremation.
