Public Service Team To Meet Wellington . To ase’ist the Wellington City Council scheme for the pruvieion ot mure pluying fields, a benefit. Rugby football match will be played to-day at Athletic Park, provided the ground is in sufliciently good order. In addition the match is to serve the purpose ot a trial in view of the selection of the Wellington team to meet Hawke's Bay at 'Wellington on Saturday week. Although the Wellington selector, Mr. M. Nicholls, intimated that selected players who did not take part in this match would jeopardise their chances ot inclusion in the side to meet Hawke’s Bay, it. has since been' discovered tlmr some players are not available, fhe Publie Service team being mainly atfee(ed. Guiniven, Stevens, Robins and Pringle are unable to play owing to injuries and Thomson is unable to take his place as an emergency for the Wellington team. However, with much of the leading talent on view, the match should attract considerable interest and it should provide some first-c]aes football. Play is to commence at 2.45 p.in. The teams are :—■
