Centre To Hold Games In Hutt Valley Next New Year a rink tournament is to be conducted on Hutt Valley greens by the Wellington Bowling Centre. This decision was made at a meeting of the centre executive last night. For several years the Hutt Valley dubs co-operated in the management of a tournament at New Year, but. last season the centre refused to allow a rival to its own tournament. Next season’s Hutt Valley fixture will be a concession to jjla.ycrs in the Hutt Valley who do not wish to travel to Wellington for tournament games. The meeting decided to hold the pennant competitions under the same rules as last year. The following fixtures were made for the season :—Pennant competition, junior pennant competition, country pennant competition, begin November 5; midweek competitions. Hill Pins challenges, begin October 26; Edwin Feathers challenges, begin October 22; champion of champions single's, February 22; champion of champions pairs, March 1 ; champion of champions rinks, March 8; champion of junior champions singles, March 15: secretaries’ and treasurers’ one-day tournament, December 8; veterans’ day, January 25; Christmas rinks, begin December 26; New Year pairs, begin January 2; Easter rinks, begin Good Friday.
