“Sacrament” was the subject of the lesson-sermon in nil Churches of Christ, Scientist, yesterday. The Golden Text was I Cor. 5:8, “Let us keep the feast, not witli the old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” . Among the citations winch comprised the lesson-sermon were the following from the Bible: “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Ye arc my friends, n vc do whatsoever I command yon. (John 15:12, 14.) Also cited were the following passages from file Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy: “If good enough to profit by Jesus’s cup of earthly sorrows, God will sustain us under these sorrows. Until we are thus divinely qualified and are willing to drink Ilis cup, millions of vain repetitions will never pour into prayer the unction of Spirit in demonstration of power and ‘with signs following.'” fp.l<>.)
