“Last Addresses,” by H. F. B. Mackay (London: Centenary Press).
The death of a tine preacher, Canon Mackay, put an end to a series of outstanding books cn religious subject* from the pen of an understanding and polished writer. It will bring pleasure to those who have known his works and appreciated their great value, to have available this posthumous collection of his last writings. They have been soundly edited, and appear in a form which bears comparison with the books which had the advantage of Canon Mackay's own revision. This last collection includes material intended for the completion of bis “Studies in the Ministry of Our Lord,” and in addition contains courses of addresses or sermons o n such subjects as the Sermon on the Mount, the Rejection of Our Lord According to St. John, the Last Supper in the Fourth Gospel, and meditations on the crucifix.
