Little Likelihood Before Tea (Received July 0, 1.55 a.m.) London, July 8. There is now little prospect of play before tea in the third Test match between England and Australia at Manchester, which was due to begin tills morning. The teams have still not been announced and there has been no toss. LATER. After further rain had ceased, the wicket was again inspected and play abandoned for the day.
