Broadcast Advertising

Sir, —It would be interesting to know whether any kind of station censorship exists over' broadcast advertising from “ZB, for at approximately 8.45 on Thursday evening the writer heard the following statement made in an advertisement relative to motor brakes: "When you drive your car you are a potential killer!” That such a statement should be allowed to go through is amazing, for the constructive power of a right thought far exceeds the destructive influence of a wrong thought, and modern thinkers (and I use the word "thinkers” advisedly) are leaning in ever increasing numbers to the education of thought along constructive lines. And in no less degree does this apply to modern advertising thought.—l am, etc., THINK RIGHT. Wellington, July 7.
