The match between Harry Dunn, Hutt Valley, and Billy Hamilton, lightweight champion of Victoria, has aroused great interest in Wellington, as both have scored wins over the brilliant Filipino boxer, Dommy Ganzon, in recent weeks. The match'will be staged at the Wellington Town Hall over 10 rounds on Tuesday night. The question that is being asked is, “Can Dunn, with his abundance of science and speed and his remarkable defence, avoid a knock-out at the hands of such a hard-hitting artist as Hamilton?" Hamilton has the record of two knockouts in three fights in New Zealand. Dunn has scored two victories over Gunson this season. It should be a buttle royal, and the odds, on paper, at least appear to be even. There will also be an eight-round professional encounter between the negro welterweight "Tiger” Parks and Jack Davis. Davis has a win over Olarrio Marshall (who beat Pluto), one of the best welters in the country to-day, and Parks has been in good form lately. Pat Murphy, England, with 200 professional bouts to his credit, will be opposed over six rounds by Tommy Hansen, the Wellington boy. With six tirsl-claos amateur preliminaries preceding the main bouts, a highly successful evening seems assured.
