Dairy Cattle Meet A Slow Demand At Dannevirke Dominion Special Service. Dannevirke, July 7. A small yarding of sheep and cattle came forward at tile Dannevirke stock sale. Sheep were on a par with recent sales. There was a slow demand for dairy cattle. Fat ewes brought 16/-; fat and forward b.f. hoggets, 18/4; four-tooth ewes, r.w. S.D. ram, 32/4; in.a. ewes, 21/9; six-year ewes, r.w. S..D. rani, 10/10 to 15/-. . . , Fat Jersey cows and heifers realised £5/6/-;, dairy cows in milk, £5/5/-; Jersey eowe and heifers, due July-August, £6/6/- to £7; store cows, £l/14/-, I’igs and Poultry. A small yarding of pigs and poultry came forward at the Dannevirke mart to-day. Competition for both was very keen. Small weaners realised 13/- to 14/6; slips, to 21/6; purebred W.L. laying pullets. 7/6 to 7/10; purebred Aust, pullets, 8/- to 8/1; small W.L. pullets, 4/-; 8.0. cockerels, 3/4; white ducks, 3/5 to 3/8; drakes, 3/3.
