The managers of the New Zealand Rugby League team will leave by the Aorangi to-day without having had a conference with the Australian Board of Control about uniformity in the interpretation of the rules, and they cannot understand why.

The New South Wales League decided that a conference should be held yesterday but it was not held. Mr. Miller, secretary of the New South Wales League, said that the New Zealand managers did not want it, but the New Zealand managers emphatically denied this. The Country Rugby League has received ;m invitation to send a team to New Zealand in August. The matter will be discussed at the next meeting of the Country League.
