AMATEUR BILLIARDS
Wellington Championship To Start On July 18 It. has been decided by the Wellington Billiards Association to begin the Wellington amateur billiards championship on July 18. This is rather earlier than was originally intended, but has become necessary' owing to the Wellington open championship and the New Zealand amateur championship following on closely. It is anticipated that Mr. S. Moses, who is in the I'jnn representing New Zealand at the Empire championship in Australia, will return in time for the Wellington amateur event. The New Zealand amateur championship will this year be conducted at Dunedin. The tentative dates arranged for all "these events are as follows:—. Billiards: Wellington provincial amateur championship. July 18; Wellinglon open championship. August 8; Wellington small table Juindicap tourney, August 29; New Zealand amateur championship, at Dunedin, August 29. Snooker: Wellington provincial amateur championship. September 26.
