The annual conference of the New Zealand Workers’ Union, which has a membership of approximately 30.000. will be held in the Trades Hall. Wellington, starting on .June 2!). and is expected, to last between 10 and 14 days. It will be presided over by the national president, Mr. R. Eddy, who is acting as secretary at present because of tiie absence at Geneva as the workers’ delegate from New Zealand to the International Labour Office conference of Mr. A. Cook. Twentyfour delegates will attend the conference, for which a large number of remits are set down for discussion. It is anticipated that the Minister or Public Works. Hon. R. Semple, will attend and will address the delegates.
