A little over three years ago Dunedin became renowned for being the home of the Johnson quadruplets. An event which happened this morning is likely to focus further attention on Dunedin for at I tie Queen Mary Hospital triplets—three boys—were born to Mrs. Warren, wife of Mr. Samuel Warren, ti labourer employed by W. Casey ami Son, contractors, of I’elieliet Bay. About 10 o’clock to-night, however. advice was received that one of the Infants. whose weight was 21b. 120 z.. had died.

The weights of the other two children. who are reported by the matron to be doing well, are 41b. 9oz. and 31b. Boz. They have to have special attention and are wrapped in cotton Wool. The temperature of the room is kept at 80 degrees and that of their cots at OS degrees. Dr. Ritchie was in attendance when the children came into the world. In addition to the new infants, the Warrens have a family of three girls. According to medical statistics, triplets occur once in every 6000 births.
