Completion Of Flying-boat

While declining to confirm a current report that the air service to New Zealand, discontinued after the Samoan clipper disaster in January, will recommence on August 14, the Associated Press learn, s from Pan-American Airways and other sources that at least one Boeing flying-boat of the most modern design is rapidly being completed for that purpose. Pan-American Airways intimated that one machine will be sufficient, since the service will be a fortnightly one. _ . ... The company indicated that it is unable to state the exact dale of opening because the machine must be extensively tested before being accepted.
When the above cable message from New York was referred to the Prime Minister.'Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage last evening he said the New Zealand Government had received no advice as to when the Pacific air service was to be resumed.
