WELLINGTON HARBOUR BOARD ELECTION. VVE are again offering ourselves as ” candidates for the two seats in tlie combined Mannwatu Electorate, extending from Waikauae to Apiti. As members of th Board during the past nine years we have endeavoured to serve faithfully tlie interests of all sections of the community, particularly the districts we represented. We strongly opposed the recent increase iu Wharfages and other charges, but were outvoted. We are in favour of good and even liberal wages being paid for all labour, but consider that the country is entitled to a fair and honest day’s work in return, thus keeping down an increase of cliar’-es and tlie cost of living. Labour has uinoumed its intention of gaining control ..f all key positions, including the Harbour Boards, but we contend that this Election, should be apart from all political considerations, and that the Electors should support those who arc best qualified and experienced to look after their interests. Wo therefore solicit the continued support of every Elector. M A. ELIOTT. W. L. FITZHERBERT. LOWER HUTT—- ] ABOI R UANDIDATES. MAYOR: P. DOWSE. COUNCIL: Burrell, Fairclough. Hall, Ilorlor. Johnson.
