Sb Ata, Deputy-Premier of Tonga, who has been visiting tlie Dominion, left Auckland yesterday by the Mattia on his return. Mr. H. 11. Nash, president of the Commercial Travellers mid Warehousemen's Association, retjß'iied to Wellington yesterday in the steamer express from the south Mr. F. J. Shanks, deputy DirectorGeneral of the Post end Telegraph Department, who lias been in the South Island on holiday, will return to Wellington to-day. Mr. J. H. Boyes, a Public Service Commissioner, returned to Wellington yesterday from Auckland. He. art'ived at Auckland on Sunday after a visit to Rarotonga. Mr. I>. J. McGowan, chairman of llie Wellington Harbour Board, who underwent a minor operalion in a private hospital lasi week, is making satisl'mlory progress toward recover,and expects to be about iu a week.
