ADDRESSES TO MEETING OF WOMEN
A meeting "f women in i.he Oriental Cabaret, Wellington, last night was addressed by Mr. C. H. Chapman, M.P.. Labour candidate for the mayoralty of Wellington, and Messrs. R. McKeen. M.P.. and T. Brindle, M.L.C.. candidates for the city council. The speakers stressed rhe importance of municipal elections from a woman’s point of view. Mr. Chapman said that women knew that, without an adequate water supply, drainage, and sewerage, health would be menaced. The Labour candidates would always insist on these services being properly maintained. A vote of confidence in rhe Label" c.'ii: didales was carried.
