The Useful Bolero

Decorative Coatees, They Can Be Worn With Any Type Of Frock “Dominion” Special Service—By Airmail. London, March 20. rpHE bolero is perhaps the most popuA lar article of clothing at the present time. Designers are doing all sorts of delightful things with this useful and decorative coatee, which can be worn with nearly any and every type of frock, morning, afternoon and evening. On a green crepe afternoon frock, Norman Hartnell, who mixes colours very cleverly this season, puts a petunia’ and green bolero. In another Hartnell ensemble, violet partners green with charming effect. Another popular spring model consists of a dress and bolero of black matt crepe with an applique of white braid daisies edging the bolero. A small half-hoop of daisies indicates a pocket out of which peeps an impudent green hanky. The dress in question is high-necked, short-sleeved and plain, except for a half-hoop of daisies on eaeli side of the bodice, and a neat finishing touch is a narrow belt.
