Australian Arrives At Auckland By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, April 4. Engaged by the Auckland Rugby League as coach, Mr. R. Banham, a New South Wales representative fiveeighth, arrived by the Monterey and will be placed in an Auckland team as a player. He has been a member of the South Sydney club for four years. “League is holding its place with Rugby in Australia,” said Mr. Banham. “Although the controversy regarding the representative team’s English tour has in no way abated, the officials have to face the problem of declining gates, this being attributable mainly to start-ing-price .betting.”
