BRIGHT REVUE

Frank NeiL.Company At New, Opera House Frank Neil’s revue company is still drawing large audiences to the New Opera House. Jim Gerald, one of the most popular comedians New Zealand has seen, is funnier than ever in. the latest change of programme. His crosstalk with Len Rich is irresistibly mirthprovoking. while his sketches, “Wolfgang,” “The Bells,” “Catching the Mail, “Money From Home,” and “On the Telephone,” are all admirable vehicles for his quaint mannerisms and his own particular brand of humour. Miss Ella Shields is as smart as ever in her male impersonations, and sings charmingly some of the latest song hits and the old favourite “Burlington Bertie.” Everyone who sees the show goes away talking about Gautier’s performing dogs, which do some amazing tricks. The attractive personality of Don Galvan, the Mexican troubadour, makes his songs specially enjoyable. Petilo and Pesco are as acrobatically ingenious as. ever; Arne Hartmann reveals new possibilities in the piano-aceordion; U. 8. Thompson dances agilely, and the ballet provides a graceful aud colourful background.
