YESTERDAY’S ACCIDENTS

When lifting springs in shed 24, Taranaki Street Wharf, at 11 o’clock yesterday morning, Mr. T. O'Neill, 53 Kent Terrace, waterside worker, sprained his back. The Free Ambulance took him to hospital.

An injury to his left ankle was received by Mr. A. Trafalgar Street, .Johnsonville, factory hand, when he caught bis foot in a belt at Smith and Smith's premises. Vivian Street, at 3.10 yesterday afternoon. He was removed to hospital by the Free Ambulance. Mr. W. Basten, 2 Drake Street, rigger, dislocated his knee cap when his motorcycle hit a fence near the floating-dock at 3 p.m. yesterday. He was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance. A crushed finger on the left hand was received bv Mrs. M. Young, 86 Darlington Road. Miramar, when she caught her band in g wringer early yesterday afternoon. The Free Ambulance took her to hospital.
