OPERATIC SOCIETY

Planning Next Production The interest of the members of the Wellington Operatic Society is being retained by play-readings each week in the studio in' Cuba Street. Two plays were read duriug the past fortnight, and although rehearsals will start immediately for “The Student Prince,” the readings will be carried on for some time yet. AU members are requested to advise the secretary their intention either to rejoin or resign from the society, as, there are a number of singers anxious to join. Men’s voices are still required to fill the chorus. The music for “The Student Prince” will be remembered by a number of Wellington people from the appearance of Herbert Brown, the wellknown tenor in J. C. Williamson’s production of this delightful opera.
