Visitors to Wellington Mrs. W. S. Bean, Christchurch, has arrived at Wellington and is staying with her sister, Mrs. Frank Hay, Hill Street. Mrs. Edgar Elliott, Auckland, is a visitor to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Warren, Christchurch, are visiting their daughter, Mrs. Leslie Palmer, Wellington. They will return home next week. Miss Nancy Buchanan and Miss Katharine Hay, Christchurch, who have been visiting Hawke’s Bay and Auckland, are now in Wellington, where they will spend a few days before returning home. Miss C. Green, Greymouth, is visiting Wellington, and is staying at. the Empire Hotel. Miss E. Buckley, Christchurch, arrived in Wellington yesterday from Auckland to visit friends before returning south. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Peck are Palmerston North visitors to Wellington. Miss S. Hunt, Bongotea, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. Bernhard, Greymouth, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. Harry Atmore, Nelson, who arrived at Wellington yesterday, after visiting her mother, Mrs. J. R. Corrigan, Hawera, will stay over the weekend to attend the meeting of the New Zealand National Council of the British Drama League. Mrs. T. F. McKenzie, Hawera, motored to Wellington yesterday to attend the meeting of the National Council of the British Drama League, held in the Pioneer Club. On Holiday Mrs. Jack Bristed, Wellington, has left for Christchurch, en route to Dunedin, where she will visit relatives. Miss Ngaire Aplin, Wellington, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. Bussell Moss, Napier. Mr. and Mrs. Hemingway and their daughter Eva, Greatford, are spending a holiday in the South Island. Mrs. Mehteath, Wellington, is visiting Christchurch with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Menteath, Oxford, England. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Cracroft Wilson, Christchurch, will leave on Monday for a few weeks’ visit to the North Island. The Hom Vincent Ward, M.L.C., and Mrs. Ward, Heretaunga, will be the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gladstone Ward, Christchurch, for the Easter holidays.

Mrs. CL Horman, Dower Hutt, and Mrs. Fred Newell, New Plymouth, are the guests of Mrs. Dewis Bassett, St. John’s Hill, Wanganui. Miss Hannah, Auckland, who has been the guest of Mrs. Russell Grace, Wanganui, is now visiting Wellington. Mrs. F. R. Vice, Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. B. Small is a Wellington visitor to Auckland. Miss. M. King, Wellington, is a visitor to Auckland. Miss Ngaere Redpath, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. O. A. Burke, Otakeho, Taranaki. Mrs. A. B. Gibbons, Khandallah, left Wellington yesterday to spend a few days in Blenheim. Mrs. A. B. Smith, Dominion secretary of the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, will leave for the south on Tuesday evening to attend meetings of the Dominion Advisory Board, to be held at Christchurch. Going Abroad Mrs. Claude Hehwood and family, Otakeho,. Taranaki, will leave by the Tainui from Wenington next week for England, where they will reside in future. Mr. and' Mrs. I. I. McGregor are spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Bassett, Essex Street, Masterton, before leaving by the Tainui for an extended tour abroad, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bean, Christchurch, will leave Wellington on April 2 by the Tainui for a trip to England to visit their son, Archdeacon Bean, Manchester.

The Misses Hewitt, Christchurch, will leave at the end of next week for a trip to Britain.

Mr. and Mrs. John Smyth, Wellington, are paying a brief visit to Christchurch prior to their departure to England.
