Expenditure Exceeds Estimates EASTBOURNE FINANCES Expenditure had been above the estimates, brought about by foreshore protection and other subsidised work, stated a report presented to the Eastbourne Borough Council last night by the town clerk-general manager, Mr. C. The committee had inquired regarding the possibilities of the borough being included in the country service library scheme, aud, while such a scheme was not available at its present stage of development, the committee proposed to keep in touch with the authorities in view of future possibilities. A tender of £6713 by Mr. D. Daily for the erection of an omnibus garage at Eastbourne to house the council's fleet was accepted by the Eastbourne Borough Council last night. The work will be completed in five months.
