A scheme adopted by the Canterbury Auto-Cycle Club is designed to educate members to conduct themselves on their motor-cycles as an example to other riders, states the Christchurch “Press.” Copies of safety-first rules will be issued to each member, and at the end of a year each member who has no traffic conviction or other mark against him will be given a certificate called a safety award. The club's slogan in future will be: "Let us ride, but let us ride sanely.” It is hoped that the scheme, which is based on one adopted by the American Motor-Cycling Association, will be taken up by the clur • throughout New Zealand
