FRENCH ARMAMENT CONTRACTS
Speeding-Up Agreed To
Paris, March 22.
After a meeting between members of the Cabinet, headed by M. Blum, and the employers engaged in armament contracts, it was announced that the employers had agreed to accelerate production. The trades unions agreed to forgo the 40-hour week, but demanded that the employers use the plants to full capacity and do not attack the advantages of the workers.
