Decisions Made By Cabinet CZECH SITUATION

Lengthy Dispatches Sent To Dominions By Telegraph—Press Assn.— Copyright. London, March 22. The Australian Associated Press understands that to-day’s Cabinet took decisions in connection with Mr Chamberlain’s statement to be made in the House of Commons on Thursday redefining Britain’s foreign policy. The statement is now being drafted. Meanwhile it is gathered that lengthy dispatches have been sent to the Dominions in ample time for them to make observations if they so desire before Thursday, when the phrasing of Mr. Chamberlain’s statement may be varied in the light of Dominion comments. . ~ . The Government will stand by existing commitments to Czechoslovakia, but will not give a special guarantee of military assistance in the event of attack from Germany. Cabinet sat for two hours and reviewed the whole field of foreign affairs. T , Dr. Haden Guest and other Labour members are moving in the House of Commons to ask the Government to call a conference under the auspices of the league of Nations to consider the settlement of European and colonial problems.
