MASTITIS IN COWS
Test With Indicator Set As part of the Government policy of alleviating mastitis in dairy herds, arrangements have been made to. make available to farmers mastitis indicator sets by which they can test their cows. In making this announcement last evening, the Minister of Agriculture Hon. W, Ta’c Martin, said these sets’contained four glass test tubes and a bottle of brom thymol blue, and all the farmer was required to do was to take a sample of milk in a test tube and add to it a couple of drops of brom thymol blue. A greenish discolouration of the milk would indicate infection.
