FORECAST FOR TO-DAY'S WEATHER,
Mostly Cloudy, But With Scattered And Mainly Light Rains. Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 24 hours ending 3 p.m. to-day:— Pressure remains high over the Dominion, a rather intense anti-cyclone' being centred east of the North Island. A slight low-pressure disturbance has passed Tasmania, but pressure is very uniform over the Tasman sea. The forecast is for north-easterly to northerly winds prevailing; light generally at first, but gradually freshening about and south of Cook Strait. Seas slight to moderate. Light to moderate north-east to northerly winds and slight to moderate seas in the eastern Tasman Sea. Weather for the most part fair to cloudy, but with scattered and mainly light rain, more specially in the North Island and western districts of the South Island. Temperatures mild.
