CHALLENGE TO DEBATE
Private Enterprise Versus Socialism THE LOT OF THE WORKER A challenge to debate the opposing principles of private enterprise and Socialism has been made by the organisers of the recently opened T’ell New Zealand Campaign to the New Zealand Federation of Labour. The challenge is couched in the following terms: — With regard to your recent invitation to Count von Luekner to debate the ideology of Nazism, we suggest that it would have been possible for the Count to find a point of difference only in dictatorial methods, rather than in principles, as between Facism and Socialism. As we feel that this subject is of vital interest and importance to the people to-day, we have pleasure in inviting your federation to nominate ti speaker to debate with a speaker to be nominated by us the subject, “The Worker Under Socialism” versus “The Worker Under Competitive Private Enterprise in New Zealand.” Our speaker will affirm the case for “The Worker Under Private Enterprise.”
