Free Ambulance Ladies Auxiliary

- Lady Norwood presided at the monthly meeting of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Wellington Free Ambulance held on Monday, when Mrs. Wise, Eastbourne. was welcomed back to the committee after her many months’ illpess. It is proposed to hold a musical "at home” at Mrs. Sutherland’s residence. “Homewood,” Kami, toward the end of April. Owing to no shop being available at the moment, the one promised having been let, the “shop day,” which was to have been held this Friday, has had to be postponed; but it is hoped that satisfactory arrangements will be made-shortly, when the date will be advertised. Mrs. Ngalre Benton, formerly of New Zealand, aroused great interest at a dinner of the Amicable Book Society, Wellingborough, Northants, when she sang a number of Maori songs. Mrs. Benton and her husband are now living in Wellingborough. Last July Mrs. Benton gave a number of Maori selections in an Empire broadcast for the Britjsh.BrpadeaghaK.JJpJPPrati.ofti>-- ■
