COMING-OF-AGE
‘ Dance At Marton To celebrate the coming-of-age of her son Charles, Mrs. Duncan Simpson, Marton, gave a delightful dance on Saturday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hamish Simpson, who occupy the old homestead of Heaton Park. Between 60 and 70. relatives ahdx close friends were present, a number travel ling front Wellington for- the occasion. Dancing took place in the ballroom, which opens out on to a lovely garden The night was ideal for dancing and was sufficiently warm to allow of going out of doors between dunces. The attractively furnished, lounge was used<or sitting-out and was decorated with asters and hydrangeas, similar blooms being used in the dining-room, where a buffet supper was served. There were several house parties In the district during the week-end, the guests including many who were present at the dance.
