UNIVERSITY HOCKEY CLUB
'The annual meeting of the Unviersity Men's Hockey Club was held at the college on Monday night, Mr. F. L. Newcomb presiding over an attendance of 30. The report referred to the fact that five teams were fielded last season, the lower grade teams having better records than the others. The seniors had done fairly well, and one of its members, F. L. Newcomb, had gained representative honours. The G. F. Dixon trophy, awarded to the team with the best all-round record for the had been won by the juniors. Officers were elected as follows :—-President, Mr. G. F. Dixon: club captain, Mr. F. L. Newcomb; secretary, Mr. F. Walker; treasurer, Mr. S. Mclntosh: committee. Messrs. D. Good. L. Sandford and A. Dixon ; delegates to Wellington Hockey Association, Messrs. D. Benjamin, F. Newcomb and W. Shaw The work of the retiring secretary. Mr. M. H. Grain, was praised by members.
