FRENCH ACTION
Move To Form National Government (Received March 13, 6.30 p.m.) Paris, March 12. The Socialist National Council voted, by 6576 votes to 1684 in favour of a National Government following an appeal by M. Blum. The Confederation of Labour has launched an appeal throughout France in favour of collaboration of all parties. The Press says the reserved attitude of Italy has made it impossible to resist German aggression. The question is asked whether Signor Mussolini is planning a further move in the Mediterranean under . the protection of a stronger Germany. The Press reveals that the French Charge d’Affaires at Rome was refused an audience by Count Ciano, who said he had nothing to say regarding Austria.
