FORECAST FOR TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
Showers Or Misty Rain In Many Places, But Improving During Day. Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 24 hours ending 3 p.m. to-day:— An anti-cyclone of considerable intensity covers the south Tasman Sea, and extends on to the South Island, but pressure has fallen slightly to the north and east. • a The forecast is for moderate to strong winds between south-west and southeast, reaching gale force in places, but decreasing gradually o 1 Seas rather rough to rough generally, but decreasing to-day, specially abou. Light to moderate southerly to south-easterly winds and slight to moderate seas in the eastern Tasman Sea. . Weather cloudy to overcast in eastern districts and later in the far north, with showers or misty rain at many places; improving to-day, special y over the South Island. Temperatures cool.
