When Grandpa Kept A Shop
WHEN grandpa kept a shop a Chinaman used to bring all his letters for grandpa to read to him. The Chinaman could not read English. At Christmastime he brought a present of nuts. The nuts were thin-shelled, and the insi'de was like a shrivelled plum. You ate the inside and it tasted lovely. He also brought grandma a padded basket lined witli silk. Inside Was a teapot and two cups without handles. —Flax (7), Paraparaumu.
