Dominion Special Service. Levin, March 9. The usual weekly stock sale was held at the Levin yards yesterday. Abraham and Williams offered smaller yardings than usual in all sections. Prices throughout showed a slight easing, with the exception of those for cattle, which remained firm. Realisations were:— Pigs: Light porkers 2(5/- to 37/6, medium £2 to £2/8/-, heavy £2/14/- to £- 17/-; baconers, £3/1/- to £3/10/-; weaners, 7/6 to 11/6; slips, 12/6 to 10/-; stores, 18/6 to 21/6. Sheep: Fat ewes, 17/- to 22/3, fat wethers, 17/- to 21/1 ; wether lambs, 8/4 to 14/-; ewe lambs, 13/3 to 13/6. Cattle: Light fat cows, £3/10/- to £4 7/6, medium £4/10/- to £5/2/6, heavy £o 10/- to £6/12/6, prime heavy £</2/b to £B/7/6; runners. £3/10/- to £4/i/6; vealers, £2 to £3/5/-; forward three and four-year P.A. bullocks, £10; store cows, to £3/2/6; potter bulls, £2/2/6 to £9; weaner heifers, £2 to £2/17/-. Dairy stock: Cows in calf, £7 to £8; springing heifers, £B. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agencv offered good yardings of all classes of stock. Cattle and porkers were in keen demand, though store sheep were not sought after. Realisations were as follows: — „ ~, . .
