Ribbon Conies To The Fore For Frocks And Trimming

“Dominion” Special Service —By Air Mail. London, February 18. There is now hardly a chance that you or 1 can buy an evening or dance frock that is not either made of ribbon or trimmed with it. Paris, London and New York make a generous use of ribbon. Ribbon, for instance, is shirred closely under lace or muslin round the shoulder-line, and tied in a great bow on one shoulder. That is Chanel’s way. Lanvin has ribbon shirred and drawn round the hips aud tied in a romantic bow on oue hip. Molyneux sponsors dresses made of four tiers of grosgrain ribbon. Some ribbons are looped into garlands and are made of rlbben petershams that are finer than any we can recently remember. Some are velvet, some watered moires. The moires will be of cyclamen pink, water-blue white, black;
