Advertising Agencies A tennis match played at Miramar yesterday between. teams representing the advertising agencies and the newspapers of Wellington, was won by the newspapers by nine rubbers to six. Details are as follows, newspaper players mentioned -first:—i Singles: R. Holland beat A. F. McBride, 9-6; C. Mclntyre lost to R. Gilbert, 6-9; R. W. Bond beat D. H. Gilmore, 9-1; G. F. Maxfield lost to J. Penny, 7-9; C. G. Lauchlan lost to F. W. Hislop, 5-9; F. Bateman beat E. Vaney. 9-4. Doubles: Mclntyre and Bond beat Mcßride and Vaney, 6-3, 6-2; Bateson and Lauchlan lost to Gilbert and Penny, 4- 6-5, 0-6; Maxfield and Holland beat Hislop ami Gilmore, 6-0, 6-0; Mclntyre and Bond beat Gilbert and Penny, 6-3, 2-6, 7-5- Bnteson and Lauchlan beat Hislop and Gilmore, 6-2, 6-2; Maxfield and Holland beat Mc.Bride and Vaney, 6-5, 6-4; Mclntyre and Bond beat Hislop and Gilmore, 6-0, 6-0; Bateson and Lauchlan lost to -Mcßride and Vaney, 5- 6-4, 5-7; Maxfield and Holland lost to Gilbert and Penny, 1-6, 1-6.
