Pleading guilty to stealing from Olaf Eirik Stout on February 19, at Wellington, a suitcase, towel and two books, of a total value of £4/10/-, Lawrence Alinan Marchant, clerk, aged 51, was convicted and fined £2/10/< and costs, in default seven days’ imprisonment, by Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., in the Magistrates' Court, Wellington, yesterday.
