Going Abroad Miss Nancy Ross, Diet Supervisor, Auckland Hospital, will leave from Wellington by the Ak'aroa on March 1, and expects to be absent from’New Zealand about ten months. During her stay abroad Miss Ross intends to study dietetics at the Hammersmith Post Graduate Medical School. Permission to attend this course has been made available by the courtesy of Sir Frederick Menzies, director of London Coiinty Council Hospitals. After the completion of this, she contemplates visiting hospitals in England, Scotland and «n the Continent. Returned Home Mrs. Ralph Holden, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Macindoe, Devonport, Auckland, has returned to Auckland. Mrs. W. Milne Shand, Riccarton, who has been visiting Wellington; has returned to Christchurch. Mrs. Henry Wyatt has returned to Christchurch from Wellington. Mrs. D. M. Graham, who has been staying with her daughter, Mrs. St. Lawrence, Hastings, has returned to Masterton. .

Colwill, Roseneath, has returned from an extended holiday in the United States. "Work-Basket Tea" On Monday afternoon at Masterton, Miss Maxine McLaren was hostess at a party for a popular bride-to-be, Miss Pamela Betts, whose marriage to Mr. Jack Reid will take place to-morrow. The party took the form of a “workbasket” tea, and many useful articles were opened and admired by the young guest of honour. Among those present were: Mrs. W. Free, Mrs. J. Logan, Mrs. G.
