The Australian cricket team, with the exception of Bradman and Badcock, was in action on the Sydney cricket ground to-day as part of the anniversary celebrations, before the team’s departure next month for i-mg-The teams were captained by McCabe and Rigg. The weather was perfect, but the match was not taken soriously. . • Rigg’s team in their first innings made 257—Rigg 58, Gregory 42, Robinson 53, E. White 52. Bowling, Fleetwood-Smith took six f °McCabe’s team in their first innings made 143 for the loss of McCabe 11, Fingleton 24, Hassett 54, Chipperfield 36. .
