Lord Nufiield Arrives At Sydney
(Received February 18, 9.5 p.m.) Sydney, February 18. Viscount Nuffield, who arrived by the Awatea to-day, was in good spirits. He told interviewers that he only had time to drop in at Auckland to shake hands. , , .. “They seem to be cheery and well over there,” he said. "I’ve had a great time. ■ The Awatea is a wonderful ship. It went over to New Zealand and back almost at Atlantic speed.” Lord Nuffield attended a cricket match this afternoon. He will sail for London by the liner Orion on Wednesday. , .... The Awatea’s passengers to-night included Lord Galway, tlie New Zealand athletes, Sir James Leigh Wood, commandant of the British teams to tne Empire Games, and Lady S. M. Henderson. widow of the late Admiral Sir Henry Henderson.
