In reply to a request made by the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, Hon. ,D. G. Sullivan, has advised the executive of the union that he has decided that local bodies shall be exempt from regulations fixing the price of motor spirit. The Minister proposes to introduce an amendment at an early date to provide for areas covered by pricefixing regulations.
