BUSY TOURIST MONTH AHEAD

Heavy February Bookings Dominion Special Service. Auckland, February 2. Large numbers of overseas visitors will arrive in the Dominion this month. Bookings already made by the Tourist Department justify the prediction that February will be an even busier tourist month than January, when traffic was exceptional. Both the Niagara, due at Auckland on February 7, and the Mariposa, to arrive on February 18. will bring many American' tourists who propose to visit the principal resorts in the Dominion. The cruise liner Oronsay is expected to arrive on Friday, and it will .bring about 900 passengers, most of these being Australian. Various tours have been arranged. Two big cruise liners will be berthed at the same time In April. Arriving on April 11, the Reliance will sail for Wellington on April 14. The Empress of Britain, after visiting Milford Sound,' is bo arrive at Auckland on April 12, leaving on April 15. More than ordinary interest will be attached to the visit of the Franconia, which, with 350 passengers, has been on a world cruise since January 6. She will arrive at Auckland on April 26, leaving again on April 28.
