CAR LEAVES ROAD
Man And Wife Injured Dominion Special Service. Wanganui, January 28. While travelling in the direction of Wanganui on the main highway shortly after 2 p.m. to-day a motor-car driven by Mr. Donald Thomas Sounness, Upper Hutt, left the road near Putiki and capsized. The car feel 10 feet and became embedded In a hedge. Mr. Sounness and his wife were admitted to Wanganui Public Hospital, but the extent of their, injuries was not available to-night. Their condition, however, was reported to be satisfactory. A child in the car apparently escaped injury. It is not'known how the accident occurred, but heavy rain was falling at the time and beating into the windscreen of the car. Putiki is about a mile south of the town bridge and on the southern approach to Wanganui.
