SERVICE IN FAR EAST
Doctor H. C. Tremewan’s Appointment The medical committee of the joint council of the Order of St. John and the New Zealand Red Cross Society has approved of the application of Dr. Hector C. Tremewan for service in the Far East. Dr. Tremewan holds the degree of bachelor of medicine and surgery and is to leave Wellington by the Wanganella on February 12 to join Dr. Robert Grey, the surgeon who left Wellington recently for service in China. At present employed as a house surgeon at the Wellington Public Hospital, Dr. Tremewan is a New Zealander by birth, his home being in Lower Hutt. He will be provided with medical equipment and supplies and will also take with him quantities of bandages and equipment which have been subscribed by the citzens of the Dominion.
